I received my Doctor of Philosophy degree in Special Education from Kent State University. I also received my master’s degree in Special Education from Kent State University. I received my bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from The Ohio State University.  I am currently employed as an Early Learning and School Readiness Consultant for State Support Team Region 4.  Additionally, I  am a part time instructor at Kent State University where I have teach master's-level early childhood special education courses.  I also provide training and support on the Assessment, Evaluation, and Programming System (AEPS). I am a member of the Division for Early Childhood and have previously served as a member of the Student Editorial Board for Young Exceptional Children and membership chair for the Ohio Division for Early Childhood (ODEC). I have published articles in Young Children, Young Exceptional Children and The Journal of Computing in Teacher Education. My research interests include explicit vocabulary instruction, authentic assessment, and inclusive practices.
